Flame Project

It is hard to believe that this is still with us, but I was recently asked to provide a report to be included in that given to the World Conference. A copy of the Flame DVD has now been received and copies are available from SCORE the World Scout Shop, at a cost of 15 euros. The DVD does not yet appear in their online catalogue.

Central Group

Has received, to date, 58 application forms for Membership in 2008. I am sad to say that two of these Members, Mary Hazelhurst & Bill Smith have passed away during the beginning of this year. It was good to get a late application for Membership from Geoffrey Dolemore who had visited the ISGF stand at last years World Jamboree. Since the UKASA AGM in Henfield all Central Group Members have now received their CG badges and membership cards for 2008 as well as the April UKASA Newsletter. There will be five members of Central Group attending the World Conference of ISGF, as Observers, in August this year.

Baden Powell Guild AGM

The Baden Powell Guild had a successful AGM in March and was pleased to also host the UKASA AGM, thereby giving our members an opportunity to participate in a UKASA AGM. To make up for not having an Open Forum at this years AGM, a programme of Branch visits by the National Chairman or National Secretary has been started to give members an opportunity to put their individual points of view direct to a member of the committee.

BP Scout Guild (Scotland)

We held a very successful AGM in March this year at which Allan Page gave a very well received presentation of the Flame Project. We did not manage to appoint a Secretary but are still working on it. Our next AGM is in March 2009 and we are now busy organising a joint one with UKASA having their AGM at the same venue. Two members of our Guild have joined the Trefoil Committee for the Western European Gathering in 2009.
